Responsibilities
- Examine and troubleshoot production issues for our global clients. Examine the root cause and provide a solution as soon as possible, working directly with customers and internal stakeholders across functions.
- Work with the Engineering and Product teams to design and implement the future system and product changes to avoid production incidents and outages.
- In our electronic trading and regulatory businesses, collaborate with Account Management to provide proactive engagements with our client base.
- Ensure a seamless life-cycle experience for clients as they transition from project implementation to production support.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, plus recent experience working in the financial markets.
- 5+ years of experience working in a technical support role in the financial services industry, with solid knowledge of incident management and change management processes.
- Knowledge of the Unix and Linux operating systems and commands
- Experiment with scripting languages such as Python
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting networks/connectivity/messaging, with knowledge of at least one of the following: API, FIX, MQ, TCPIP
- IT Service Management or client relationship management experience
- Broker/Dealer, Exchange, Hedge Fund, or Regulatory Reporting requirements
- Exposure to public cloud technology, such as AWS and Azure will be an advantage
