Global Group HR Manager & Head of HR for Singapore

Reports To: Global Chief Human Resources Officer (Global CHRO) and Singapore General Manager & Deputy General Manager

Company Overview:

Our client is a distinguished multinational corporation in their field. They are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Global Group HR Manager who will also serve as the Head of HR for our Singapore operations.

Job Description:

As the Global Group HR Manager, you will have a dual role, responsible for both the strategic direction at the global level and the operational excellence at the local level in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Global CHRO for the global aspect and to the Singapore General Manager and Deputy General Manager for the local aspect, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing human resources strategies and practices to meet the short and long-term business needs.

Key Responsibilities - Global Group HR Manager:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership: Develop, propose, and implement global human resources strategies, guidelines, and procedures that align with the company's overarching principles and policies to meet international requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  2. Global HR Coordination: Collaborate with HR leads across different regions, fostering communication, alignment, and best practice sharing to ensure a consistent global HR approach.
  3. Talent Acquisition: Lead and guide talent acquisition efforts globally, ensuring the recruitment and onboarding process attracts top talent that aligns with the company's values and objectives.
  4. Business Partnering: Act as a strategic business partner, working closely with various departments to address HR-related challenges, provide guidance, and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.
  5. Compensation & Benefits: Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits packages at a global level, taking into consideration market trends and industry standards.
  6. HR Information Systems: Drive the adoption and optimization of HR information systems globally to streamline HR operations, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve the employee experience.
  7. Shared Services: Develop and manage shared HR services to support the HR needs of the organization efficiently and ensure consistency and compliance across regions.
  8. Coaching and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach HR teams across different regions to foster their professional development and ensure that they are well-equipped to meet the company's HR goals.

Key Responsibilities - Head of HR for Singapore:

  1. Full Spectrum HR Management: Manage the entire spectrum of HR functions in Singapore, including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, training & development, employee welfare, relations, and engagement.
  2. Local HR Leadership: Provide local leadership, ensuring HR practices in Singapore align with the organization's global strategies while also addressing specific local requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including global HR management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in multiple regions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and geographies.
