The challenge:

Our client, an international food producer experiencing fast growth, needed to rebuild and upgrade the capabilities of its HR function and co-locate their HQ between New Zealand and Singapore to gain access to global talent and growing new markets. Based on our strong relationship with the HR Director, we were approached to conduct a targeted and proactive search for a critical position to support key business functions and stakeholders, as well as two additional support roles within their HR organisation.

Our solution:

Despite this being an exclusive contingent search, we treated it the same as a retained search, utilising our Senior Associate, as well as conducting a targeted search. We also developed a branded advertising solution to attract the right talent, creating compelling content that reflected the client’s brand. Being considered a trusted partner allowed us to communicate the right message to market and properly sell the brand and culture.

The outcome:

The challenge:

Our client, a multinational consumer goods company, engaged us to confidentially map the market for a Regional HR Director role, to replace the incumbent who was moving back to her home country. They had already spent three months with another agency with no success and it was becoming a time-sensitive issue. They were looking for a strategic regional HR lead who had prior country experience within a similar industry and who could implement a diversity programme.

Our solution:

As part of our detailed brief, we requested a list of who had been approached by the previous agency before our research team compiled its initial long list of potential candidates. This list was honed, after face-to-face and video interviews, into a shortlist, with the hiring manager kept fully informed throughout the process with weekly reports, feedback and debrief sessions.

The outcome:

• We screened 53 potential candidates who had not been found by the first agency

• We presented 12 of the highest quality, relevant candidates within just 10 days of starting the project

• One of our candidates has gone through the interview process and is at the offer stage

• The client now has a list of 100+ relevant candidates in their pipeline and continues to work with us on other roles

The challenge:

After we had successfully helped this local luxurious dining and entertainment services company search for a Regional HR Director role, they wanted to restructure their HR team further. They engaged Argyll Scott for this project, as they had difficulties with brand perception in the market and some of the roles were highly confidential or replacements. We were asked to find a Head of HR, a Talent Acquisition Manager, and a Payroll and Benefits Manager.

Our solution:

We agreed the priority order of the roles with the HR Director, before developing their brand and employer proposition, selling the opportunity as a high-end lifestyle F&B brand, rather than the nightlife entertainment they were commonly known for. We then used our extensive HR candidate database and referrals, among other marketing tools, to find the best talent on the market, managing the whole recruitment process from start to finish.

The outcome:

• We placed the perfect TA candidate within just two weeks and the Payroll and Head of HR role within a month

• The brand evolved to become a more positive, attractive proposition to incoming and prospective candidates

• We stabilised the HR team and most are still with the company one-year later

• The HR Director was so happy with the outcome that they continue to work with us on other roles throughout the business, not just HR
