Retained Search: APAC Area Sales / Key Accounts Manager – Niche Beauty

We're partnering with a confidential beauty client
with regional growth ambitions in Asia. They’re now looking for an APAC Area Sales / Key Accounts Manager
to help scale their distributor and retail partnerships across the region.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on executing with beauty specialty retailers and key distribution partners. You'll be part of a regional team and work closely with the APAC General Manager, with strong visibility across the business. You'll bring structure, drive growth, and help the brand show up powerfully in APAC retail.
Key responsibilities
- Own and lead commercial relationships with Sephora and regional distributors
- Build and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBP) – sales targets, launch calendars, trade investments
- Monitor and act on sell-in/sell-through performance to deliver market growth
- Drive execution excellence across forecasting, inventory health, and pricing
- Translate global brand priorities into locally relevant retail and distribution plans
- Lead distributor onboarding and support new market development
- Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, finance, supply chain, and HQ teams
Key requirements
- More than 8 years of commercial experience within beauty, skincare, or cosmetics
- Proven success managing beauty speciality retailers and/or regional distributors in APAC
- Strong knowledge of retail trade dynamics, forecasting, and sales performance metrics
- Commercially analytical, execution-focused, and outcome-oriented
- Comfortable operating in a lean, high-growth brand environment
- Fluent in English; additional Asian languages a strong plus
