BI Developer, Fluent English, 120K On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical BI specifications.
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data marts, star/snowflake schemas, and semantic models in BigQuery.
• Collaborate with data engineers to define and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP tools (Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions).
• Develop logical and physical data models supporting self-service analytics and high performance.
• Build interactive, visually appealing dashboards in Power BI, implementing RLS, DAX measures, and reusable dataflows.
• Use Looker/Looker Studio for cross-platform analytics where applicable.
• Integrate with Google Cloud Data Catalog for standardized definitions, business glossaries, and data lineage.
• Work with data stewards and governance teams to enforce data quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate ML models and predictive analytics into BI dashboards.
• Support forecasting, segmentation, and trend analysis using statistical or ML techniques.
• Automate recurring reports using Power BI Service, BigQuery scheduled queries, and Cloud Composer workflows.
• Monitor and optimize BI solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability on GCP.
• Apply best practices for version control, dataset governance, and workspace management.
• Ensure BI solutions comply with data privacy regulations(PDPA, GDPR) and internal standards.
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, datasets, and models using Confluence or Git.
• Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a self-service analytics culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in BI, Data Engineering, or Analytics.
• Advanced Power BI skills: DAX, Power Query (M), RLS, Premium workspace management.
• Deep experience with BigQuery, including SQL optimization, partitioning, clustering, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with data governance, cataloging, and business glossaries.
• Familiarity with GCP BI tools(Looker, Looker Studio) is a plus.
• Preferred: Python, SQL, scripting, dbt, Git, Agile, CI/CD, and certifications (Google Professional Data Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst, Looker LookML Developer).
