About the Role
Our client, a leading global bank, is seeking an experienced IT Security Project Manager to manage a portfolio of cybersecurity and information security initiatives across the APAC region.
This role will be responsible for managing projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from framing and validation through execution and transition into production support, while working closely with the Global PMO, Security teams, Technology stakeholders, and senior management. The successful candidate will also provide strategic reporting to executive leadership and governance committees, while overseeing project financials and resource planning.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Manage a portfolio of IT Security and Cybersecurity projects across multiple workstreams and regions.
- Lead projects through all delivery phases: Framing / Initiation, Validation & Planning, Execution & Delivery, Transition to Run / BAU
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with governance and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Global PMO to ensure alignment with project management methodologies, standards, and controls.
- Manage project scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.
- Coordinate with Security, Infrastructure, Application, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams.
Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present strategic project updates to: ITP Executive Committee (ITP ExCo), APAC Management Committees, Program Steering Committees, Senior Technology Leadership
- Provide regular reporting on project health, financial status, resource utilization, and key risks.
- Facilitate governance forums, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
- Drive alignment across global and regional teams.
Resource & Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
- Oversee resource planning and capacity management across project portfolios.
- Support hiring and onboarding of project resources where required.
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources to meet project objectives.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with financial controls.
Risk & Security Initiatives
- Support the delivery of strategic cybersecurity and technology risk initiatives.
- Ensure appropriate risk management, controls, and governance practices are embedded throughout project execution.
- Work closely with Security teams to support enterprise-wide security transformation programs.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of Project Management experience within Banking, Financial Services, or other large multinational environments.
- Proven experience managing IT Security, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Technology Risk, or Regulatory projects.
- Experience managing project portfolios across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, financial management, and resource planning.
- Experience presenting to senior management and executive committees.
Technical & Domain Knowledge

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
Certification in one or more of the above would be highly advantageous.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong project management expertise, cybersecurity program delivery experience, executive stakeholder management, and financial/resource planning skills, with the ability to navigate complex global banking environments and drive successful delivery of strategic security initiatives.
