Data Solution Lead – Insurance

We are partnering with a leading insurance organisation looking for a Data Solution Lead to play a key role in shaping and delivering data solutions across the business.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who can sit between business stakeholders, data teams and technology, translating business needs into scalable data solutions and ensuring initiatives move successfully from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business, product and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical data and technology solutions.
• Lead the solution design for data initiatives across areas such as customer, policy, claims, distribution, finance or operational data.
• Act as the key bridge between business users, data engineering, architecture and delivery teams.
• Define solution approaches, data flows, integration requirements and high-level architecture.
• Work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Analysts and vendors to ensure solutions are technically sound and aligned with business objectives.
• Support the development of enterprise data platforms, analytics capabilities and broader data transformation initiatives.
• Drive stakeholder discussions, challenge requirements where appropriate and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure solutions align with data governance, security, regulatory and architectural standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience across data solutions, data architecture, data engineering or technology delivery within a large enterprise environment.
• Previous experience within insurance or broader financial services is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, data integration, APIs, cloud technologies and enterprise data architecture.
• Experience working across both business and technology teams, with the ability to translate requirements into solution designs.
• Good understanding of data governance, data quality and regulatory considerations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior business and technology leaders.
• Cloud exposure across Azure, AWS or GCP would be advantageous.
• Experience delivering large-scale data transformation or modernisation programmes would be highly regarded.
