Data Technical Leads × 2 | CONTRACT | Insurance | 75-100M

We’re partnering with a leading international insurer to hire two hands-on Data Technical Leads supporting data engineering delivery and platform development.

These roles combine technical ownership, engineering delivery and team mentoring, with opportunities to influence how data solutions are designed and built.

What you’ll do:

• Guide the technical design and delivery of data pipelines and platform enhancements.
• Provide hands-on engineering support, resolve technical issues and review solutions.
• Set engineering standards covering scalability, reliability, security and data quality.
• Work with product owners and delivery teams on technical priorities and sprint planning.
• Mentor engineers and manage technical dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
• Support automated deployment, production readiness and performance optimisation.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong data engineering experience with hands-on Python and Spark expertise.
• Experience guiding engineers and making technical design decisions.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT and data warehouse or lakehouse architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering within Agile teams.
