Full Stack Engineer (Java&React) | INSURANCE |2k5 |CONTRACT

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Build reusable frontend components using React Hooks and state management solutions, ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability.

• Develop responsive user interfaces with strong CSS skills and optimise web performance across devices and browsers.

• Integrate frontend applications with GraphQL and RESTful APIs, implementing secure authentication and authorisation using OAuth and web security best practices.

• Develop and maintain backend APIs using Java, following RESTful API design principles.

• Build, deploy and support cloud-based applications on AWS, leveraging services including Lambda, RDS and EKS.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support automated testing, deployment and reliable software delivery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, React Hooks and state management.

• Hands-on experience with Next.js, responsive UI development, CSS and web performance optimisation.

• Experience integrating GraphQL and RESTful APIs.

• Good understanding of OAuth, authentication, authorisation and web security.

• Practical experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, RDS and EKS.

• Proficiency in Java API development and RESTful services.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with micro-frontend architectures.

• Familiarity with frontend observability tools such as Sentry or Datadog.

• Experience in the insurance industry.

• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
