Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Information Technology to lead the technology strategy, operations, and digital transformation initiatives across our luxury retail business. The role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of all technology platforms supporting retail stores, headquarters, e-commerce, and customer engagement activities.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in luxury retail technology environments, including POS systems, retail management systems, ERP, CRM, inventory management, omnichannel platforms, and store infrastructure. The Head of IT will work closely with retail operations, merchandising, finance, supply chain, and executive leadership teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead IT operations across retail stores, corporate offices, warehouses, and digital channels.
  • Build and manage high-performing IT teams and external service providers.
  • Develop technology roadmaps supporting business growth and expansion.
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments.

Retail Technology Management

  • Own and support all retail technology platforms.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of:
    • POS systems
    • Retail Management Systems
    • Store Operations Systems
    • Inventory Management Platforms
    • CRM Solutions
    • Loyalty Programs
    • Pricing and Promotion Systems
  • Lead system upgrades, rollout projects, and store openings.
  • Optimize store technology to improve sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for POS platforms.
  • Manage POS implementation, configuration, support, and upgrades.
  • Ensure integration between POS and:
    • ERP systems
    • CRM platforms
    • E-commerce platforms
    • Inventory and merchandising systems
    • Payment gateways
  • Evaluate and deploy next-generation retail technologies.
  • Ensure transaction security and payment compliance.

Omnichannel & Digital Retail

  • Support seamless customer experience across:
    • Physical stores
    • E-commerce platforms
    • Mobile applications
    • Clienteling solutions
    • Click-and-collect services
  • Partner with commercial teams to enhance digital capabilities.
  • Drive omnichannel integration and customer data initiatives.

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Oversee enterprise infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and end-user support.

  • Establish cybersecurity policies, controls, and monitoring programs.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Manage security incidents and technology risks.

ERP & Business Systems

  • Lead administration and enhancement of ERP environments.
  • Ensure effective integration between finance, procurement, inventory, HR, and retail systems.
  • Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

Vendor & Project Management

  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, system integrators, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and support agreements.
  • Lead technology transformation projects from planning through implementation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Data & Analytics

  • Develop data governance practices.
  • Support reporting and analytics capabilities across retail operations.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making through dashboards and business intelligence tools.
  • Improve visibility of store, inventory, customer, and sales performance.

Required Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Relevant IT certifications preferred.

Experience

  • 12+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience within luxury retail, fashion retail, beauty retail, lifestyle retail, or premium consumer brands.
  • Hands-on experience managing retail technology ecosystems across multiple stores and locations.
  • Experience leading regional or multi-country IT operations is highly desirable.
