IT Project Manager (Contract) – Retail Transformation

Overview
We are supporting a leading regional retail group undergoing a large-scale digital and store transformation programme
across APAC. They are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager / Transformation PM
to drive end-to-end delivery across retail systems, store technology, and customer experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and business transformation projects
across retail operations (POS, CRM, eCommerce, store systems)
- Work closely with business stakeholders (Retail Ops, Merchandising, Supply Chain) to translate requirements into delivery plans
- Manage full project lifecycle — planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting
- Drive deployment of retail applications including rollout, testing, and post-go-live support
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (vendors, developers, business analysts)
- Ensure minimal disruption to store operations during system rollouts
- Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and programme stakeholders
Key Requirements
- 6–12+ years of experience as a Project Manager / IT Manager / Transformation PM
- Proven experience delivering projects within retail / consumer / eCommerce environments
- Strong exposure to at least one of:
- POS / store systems
- Retail ERP (SAP, Oracle Retail, etc.)
- Omnichannel / eCommerce platforms
- Experience managing store rollouts, system migrations, or digital transformation initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management — able to bridge business and tech
- Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset (not purely governance PMO)
Nice to Have
- Experience with regional rollouts (APAC)
- Exposure to cloud / data / AI initiatives in retail
- Agile / Scrum or PMP certification
