Lead Applications Developer (Enterprise Systems)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced applications leader with a strong technical foundation in software development and enterprise systems integration. This role will oversee a team responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of core business applications. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership and vendor management skills, ensuring that all systems and integrations support business growth, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple application service teams to plan, implement, and sustain enterprise solutions in line with organizational goals.
- Lead full lifecycle project delivery — from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support — ensuring scope, schedule, and budget targets are met.
- Manage and optimize ongoing application operations, including maintenance, incident response, and enhancement initiatives.
- Drive application modernization and integration across key enterprise platforms and third-party systems.
- Provide architectural oversight for system design, performance, and integration, including API and interface management.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with operational priorities and process improvements.
- Manage vendor partnerships and outsourcing arrangements to ensure delivery quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and mentor internal team members to build technical capability and delivery excellence.
- Oversee IT budgeting and resource allocation related to application services.
- Conduct regular progress reviews, risk assessments, and stakeholder updates to maintain transparency and accountability across projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in application development and support, with at least 8 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Strong background in project management, change management, and vendor governance.
- Proficiency in software development frameworks and technologies, including C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and JQuery.
- Familiar with API development and integration
with ERP and other enterprise applications.
