Product and Market Development Manager (Crop Science)
We are seeking a highly motivated Product and Market Development Manager to drive the successful development, validation, and commercialization of crop science and agricultural solutions. This role will serve as the key link between customers, commercial teams, and technical functions to ensure products deliver strong field performance and meet market needs.
The successful candidate will lead product trials, customer evaluations, and market development activities while generating valuable agronomic insights that support successful product launches and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Product Evaluation & Field Testing
- Design, coordinate, and oversee field trials to evaluate product performance under local growing conditions.
- Work directly with growers, distributors, and key customers to conduct product demonstrations and validation programs.
- Analyze trial results and provide recommendations on product positioning, application methods, and performance claims.
- Ensure product efficacy and customer satisfaction through robust testing and data-driven decision making.
Market Development
- Develop and execute market development plans to support product launches and portfolio growth.
- Identify customer needs, market trends, and emerging opportunities within target crop segments.
- Generate technical insights that support commercialization strategies and market expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop value propositions and technical messaging.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with growers, distributors, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and provide agronomic support when required.
- Organize and lead field days, product demonstrations, training sessions, and customer engagement activities.
- Collect customer feedback and translate market requirements into actionable business recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
- Contribute to strategic portfolio planning and long-term business growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience within Crop Protection, Seed, Agri-inputs, or Crop Science industries.
- Strong experience in product development, field trials, agronomy, technical service, or market development.
- Strong understanding of crop production systems, grower practices, and agricultural markets.
- Experience working directly with farmers, distributors, and agricultural stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command both Thai and English
