Senior IT Project Manager – Insurance Portfolio (Up to 63k)

Job Highlights

• 1-year contract, high-visibility IT portfolio

• 8–9 years PM experience required

• Insurance or financial services background preferred

About the Client

• Tier-1 general insurer, Hong Kong

• IT portfolio of 30–40 projects — big and small

• Reports to hiring manager within IT, under Head of PMO

• Team of 8–9 PMs and 3–4 BAs, all contractors

• GI products — employee benefits, travel insurance, etc.

Role Duties

• Manage new insurance product launches end-to-end

• Oversee application and website enhancements

• Own commercial vendor management and contract negotiation

• Drive stakeholder management across business and IT

• Prepare business cases and programme updates for management

• Report directly to hiring manager on portfolio progress

Role Requirements

• 8–9 years project management experience

• Insurance is not a must, FS experience is strongly preferred

• Commercial vendor management and contract negotiation

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Cantonese essential — most stakeholders are local
