Senior Patternmaker

Our client, an innovative international apparel company, is looking for an experienced Senior Patternmaker to join their product development and innovation team. This role will be responsible for translating design concepts into production-ready patterns while ensuring strong garment fit, functionality, and consistency across product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, create, and grade patterns for a range of underwear and intimate apparel products.
• Translate design concepts, sketches, and technical drawings into accurate, production-ready patterns.
• Lead fit sessions and work closely with design and product teams to refine fit, comfort, and performance across size ranges.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, construction details, and grading standards for each product category.
• Support continuous improvement in patternmaking processes, tools, and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, production, and quality to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing.
• Maintain and manage digital pattern files, ensuring proper documentation, version control, and accessibility for relevant teams.
• Provide technical input and guidance on pattern construction, garment fit, and production feasibility when needed.

Qualification

• At least 8 years of experience in patternmaking, preferably in underwear or intimate apparel.
• Strong skills in manual patternmaking, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD pattern software (such as Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or similar).
• Good understanding of underwear construction, stretch fabrics, and grading techniques.
• Solid knowledge of garment fit, sizing standards, and body shapes across different markets.
• Experience managing digital pattern libraries or centralized pattern databases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams across different locations and time zones
• Location: Phuket, Thailand
• Open to expat
