Senior Solutions Architect

Position Overview

Our Top Tier Insurance Client is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution. You will lead the design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native platforms, translating complex business requirements into high-performing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

🏛️ Strategic Architecture & Stakeholder Management

• Business-to-Tech Bridge: Act as the primary translator between business leaders, IT executives, and engineering teams, communicating technical risks and commercial trade-offs.
• Target State & Roadmaps: Define and execute the architectural target state and digital roadmaps aligned with long-term business goals and insurance regulations.
• Vendor & Risk Management: Evaluate and challenge third-party vendor solutions; identify and mitigate architectural and cybersecurity risks.

💻 Cloud Delivery & Engineering Governance

• Cloud-Native Design: Lead the end-to-end design of scalable, cost-effective hybrid/cloud solutions, championing DevSecOps and data privacy by design.
• System Integration: Oversee complex integrations between modern cloud environments, APIs, and legacy on-premises systems.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of technical architects and engineers, fostering an agile, innovative delivery culture.

Required Skillset & Experience

🎯 Background & Experience

• Experience: 8–15 years of experience in application/infrastructure design, with at least 3 years explicitly focused on Solutions Architecture.
• Domain Expertise: Strong background in Insurance or Financial Services is highly preferred; deep familiarity with modern Agile (e.g., SAFe) delivery.
• Communication: Fluent English is mandatory; Cantonese or Mandarin is a strong commercial advantage.

🛠️ Technical Capabilities

• Architecture Patterns: Expert knowledge of APIs, Microservices, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
• Cloud & DevOps Ecosystem: Deep hands-on background in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), and Docker.
• Core Tech Stack:
• Languages: Java, Node.js/JavaScript, Python.
• Data & Middleware: MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, and relational databases.
• UI/Mobile (Advantage): Angular, React, Capacitor, or Flutter.
• Non-Functional Areas: Strong grip on infrastructure security, high availability, performance optimization, and observability/monitoring platforms.
