Sustainability Manager (Food Industry)
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability Manager to lead mainly in human rights agenda within the food business. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and monitoring human rights policies across the supply chain, ensuring vendors and business partners comply with international and company standards. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in corporate or consulting environments, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence change across diverse partners.
Key Responsibilities

Human Rights & Policy Implementation

Drive the company’s human rights and sustainability agenda across operations and the supply chain.

Develop and update human rights policies, ensuring alignment with international standards (e.g., UNGP, ILO).

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential human rights issues and establish mitigation strategies.

Vendor & Supplier Engagement

Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure compliance with the company’s sustainability and human rights policies.

Provide training, guidance, and tools to vendors to improve awareness and implementation.

Monitor and audit supplier practices, reporting gaps and supporting corrective action plans.

Sustainability Strategy & Reporting

Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability and human rights into procurement, operations, and sourcing decisions.

Support reporting and disclosures in line with ESG and sustainability frameworks.

Track industry trends, regulations, and best practices, advising leadership on emerging risks and opportunities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Engage with cross-functional teams, NGOs, and industry groups to strengthen the company’s position as a responsible and sustainable food business.

Prepare clear reports, presentations, and communication materials for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Business, Law, International Relations, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, human rights, or supply chain compliance, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of human rights frameworks, ethical sourcing, and responsible business practices.

Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to engage across cultures and regions.

Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)

Ability to analyze complex issues, prepare clear reports, and influence decision-making.

Passion for sustainability and commitment to driving positive change within the food industry.
