Application Support/Configuration Analyst – Mobile & Web
This role is a Platform Operations & Configuration Analyst, acting as a technical bridge between the technology team and the operational delivery of digital products like membership applications and portals. You will focus on non-coding configuration, functional quality assurance, and incident management to ensure a seamless user experience across mobile and web platforms.
Role Summary
- Platform Configuration: Execute "light" configuration tasks (e.g., updating business rules, UI elements, or member portal settings) for mobile apps and websites using HTML and specialized platform tools without writing core code.
- Functional Testing & QA: Provide end-to-end functional testing support, including reviewing test plans, executing test cases for new features, and validating that the app behaves as intended for members.
- Incident & Problem Management: Act as a first-line responder for production incidents, performing light troubleshooting to identify root causes and coordinating with the tech team for rapid resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technology team to translate business requirements into platform settings, ensuring system stability and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- System Setup: Manage and update configuration items within the membership application and portal to reflect new business policies or membership tiers.
- Quality Support: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional reviews to catch bugs before they reach production.
- Production Stability: Monitor platform health, manage change logs, and ensure that all "light" fixes are documented and version-controlled.
- Tech-to-Business Liaison: Explain technical configuration limitations to business stakeholders while providing feedback to developers on functional gaps.
- On-site Support: Willingness to travel as required to support local deployments, stakeholder meetings, or on-site functional testing.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 1–5 years of experience in technical support, business systems analysis, or platform configuration.
- Language: Fluent Cantonese (Spoken & Written) is essential for coordinating with local stakeholders and reviewing localized platform content; Proficient English is required for tech team collaboration.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in HTML for UI configuration and a baseline understanding of mobile app/web architectures.
- Tools: Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and configuration management databases (CMDB).
- Testing Rigor: Experience in manual and/or automated functional testing across diverse devices and browsers.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose why a configuration or feature is failing in a live environment.
